What is ICT?
ICT stands for “Information and communication technology”. It refers to technology that allow people to gain access to information.
Telecommunications provide information. It’s comparable to Information Technology (IT), but it’s more focused on communication technology. The internet is an example of this.
Wireless networks, cell phones, and other communication devices are all examples of this. It implies that we will have more opportunities to use ICT in the future.
The term ICT simplified means any technology that has to do with information and communication.
Information can come in many forms such as sound, video, text, and images, so when you think of what technology it is available that produces these aspects of information and sometimes a combination of all these, we refer to such technology as mobile phones, digital cameras, video cameras for example.
Importance of ICT
The use of ICT in the classroom is very important for providing opportunities for students to learn to operate in an information age. Studying the obstacles to the use of ICT in education may assist educators to overcome these barriers and become successful technology adopters in the future.
ICT can play various roles in learning and teaching processes.While new technologies can help teachers enhance their pedagogical practice, they can also assist students in their learning. technologies can play a role in student skills, motivation, and knowledge. They claim that ICT can be used to present information to students and help them complete
learning tasks.
And also ICT skills are essential to us students to have the knowledge in using applications like word processing, spreadsheets, databases, power points, and search engines.
Therefore it serves as a wide point of view in studying anecdotes. You could easily connect with other people and appreciate their literary works in terms of bringing cheer, reminiscing the past, cautionary, and even to persuade or inspired others. Because of these effective platforms it enhance the quality of education and increases students motivation and engagement to the topic.
